The Queen of Argyll

Silly Wizard’s “The Queen of Argyll.”

I originally heard North Sea Gas do this one.

I absolutely love this romantic Celtic-sounding tune.

Unfortunately I got the last two lines of verse 1 wrong but oh well!

I played this on my Irish Avalon guitar and tried using the SM58 for the vocals this time (I think I’ll stick with the RODE for vox just due to its mounted pop shield).

The image on the PC screen isn’t related to Silly Wizard – somebody else created it for some game but I liked the look of it.

Enjoy!

Where did you learn the intro riff?

    • Hi Ben – I had heard this initially played by North Sea Gas and then discovered the amazing and original version by Silly Wizard. I transcribe the music myself, sometimes trying it note for note, other times trying my own variation. Thank you for listening!
